Dr. Lazaros Hatzipanagiotou was born in Athens in 1967.

He is a resident of Kifissia Attika, owning in the same district his private ophthalmological practice, since April 2005. Doctor’s office is addressed to all ages.

He studied Medicine at the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens.

During his military service he had his first surgical training, majoring in surgical clinics (404 General Military Hospital of Larissa and 401 General Military Hospital of Athens).

After completing his rural medical service in the rural medical office of Davlia and in the National Health Center of Distomo Viotia, and during the three-year interval before starting training in the speciality of Ophthalmology, he became medical head of the Diagnostic Center “LEKATSA” in Pireas, and at the same time Medical Coordinator of the medical company “IATROI SOS” in Athens. In the meantime, he kept his private medical office practicing General Medicine, in Agios Stefanos Attica. He also worked as a substitute teacher of Secondary Education, in the Technical and Vocational School, in the sector of Health and Wellfare, in Ilion Attica, at the same time. Later on, during his training in the Speciality of Ophthalmology, he offered his services as a medical counselor, to the “GEROLYMATOS” Group of Companies.

He trained and completed the Speciality of Ophthalmology in the General Hospital of Athens “PAMMAKARISTOS”, gaining great experience in the field of the surgical treatment of a wide range of ophthalmological diseases, as well as the full spectrum of the pathology of the human optical system.

Dr. Hatzipanagiotou has specialized in the surgical treatment of CATARACT and GLAUCOMA, as well as in REFRACTIVE SURGERY using LASER technology (FEMTOSECOND and EXCIMER), for the treatment of MYOPIA, HYPEROPIA and ASTIGMATISM. For the treatment of PRESBYOPIA, he uses LASER technology or applies SPECIAL INTRAOCULAR LENSES and CORNEAL IMPLANTS.

He also applies treatment of MACULA DISEASES, performing their modern therapies, using INTRAVITREAL INJECTIONS of ANTI-VEGF agents and CORTICOSTEROIDAL INTRAOCULAR IMPLANTS.

In the field of broader Facial Aesthetics, he has trained and applies INJECTIONAL THERAPIES, using BOTOX.

He collaborates with “OMMA” OPHTHALMOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF ATHENS, ATHENS REFRACTIVE LASER, the “IPAPANDI TOU HRISTOU” Athens Eye Hospital and the “IATRIKO ATHINON” General Hospital at Psychiko and Marousi.

He is a member of the ATHENS MEDICAL ASSOCIATION, the HELLENIC OPHTHALMOLOGICAL SOCIETY, the GREEK VITREO – RETINAL SOCIETY, the HELLENIC SOCIETY OF INTRAOCULAR IMPLANT AND REFRACTIVE SURGERY and the EUROPEAN SOCIETY OF CATARACT AND REFRACTIVE SURGERY.
